Bright Ideas

Piedmont EMC co-sponsors the Bright Ideas Grant Program with the NC Association of Electric Cooperatives. To date, 27 electric cooperatives statewide have contributed more than $4 million to teachers in the state to fund innovative teaching projects. Locally, Piedmont EMC has awarded approximately $145,000 since the program began in 1994.

The call for applicants is in August each year, with grants awarded in November.
